I don’t think finances should be a barrier to a low-stress wedding day, so I make sure to share plenty of tips and tricks on social media and to offer occasional free classes. This spring, I’m teaming up with Lubbock Parks & Rec to offer a series of FREE classes to help local folks with their wedding planning.

February 18: The foundations of wedding planning
- write your wedding mission statement
- create your list of wedding priorities
- start outlining your budget
- learn how to find and choose vendors/venue/wedding date
- receive a to do list broken down by month & links to digital spreadsheets to keep everything organized
March 18: How to help your child (or other family member or friend) plan their wedding
- get prepared for the emotions of supporting someone through wedding planning
- get advice on how to talk with them about money
- learn how to offer help (that you will actually have fun doing)
- get logistical advice for a low-stress planning process and wedding week – Q&A time for personal questions
April 22: Designing the look & vibe of your wedding
- gather your inspiration
- learn how to create a design board
- figure out how to look at an inspiration image and see exactly what you would need to do to recreate it
- make a list of local vendors who fit your design goals
- watch me do a real-time design consultation with one of the class participants *interactive*
May 20: Make your wedding day timeline and venue layout
- learn how to create a timeline that is personalized to your needs
- draw a layout for your venue with all the tables/chairs/rentals etc…
- talk about how to share your layout and timeline with friends/family/vendors to make sure everything happens the way you want it to – create packing lists for wedding day
- *visit from a local photographer to talk about photo schedules and timelines*
