Okay so let me start by saying that everyone’s definition of inexpensive is going to be different. These are all technically still pretty expensive, but many of my clients are looking for a rehearsal dinner space that is private or semi-private and has food options for around $20 per person. These three options all fall in that range or are close!
Cafe J – 2605 19th St, Lubbock, TX 79410 *near TTU!
Cafe J has a private room option with a reasonable room rental rate and a semi-private reservation option with no cost (but this depends on other reservations). Their dinner pricing is between $14-$30. Casual fine dining with a very nice and large bar (great option if you want to invite guests to meet you after dinner). Live music most Fridays!

Escondido Grill at Spirit Ranch – 701 Regis St, Lubbock, TX 79403 *near the airport!
The Escondido Grill has a private room option with a medium reasonable rental rate and an option where you can make a reservation in their main dining room for no fee (but they have no guarantee that a very large group would be seated together). Their set dinner menu starts around $20 per person. BBQ, steaks, burgers, and tacos.

Picoso’s has a reasonable room rental rate and a food minimum that depends on your date and group size. Upscale mexican/tex mex.
